A visionary in modern jazz, Adjuah is a two-time Edison Award winner, six-time Grammy nominee, and recipient of the Doris Duke Artist Award.

Renowned as a trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and sonic innovator, Adjuah has reshaped contemporary jazz with his pioneering Stretch Music style—a limitless fusion that defies traditional boundaries. His groundbreaking work includes designing the Adjuah Trumpet, Sirenette, and Chief Adjuah’s Bow, as well as founding the Stretch Music App and Recording Company.

Rooted in his deep New Orleans heritage, Adjuah serves as the Chieftain and Oba of the Xodokan Nation and the Grand Griot of New Orleans, carrying forward a legacy of cultural storytelling through music. His collaborations span icons such as Prince, Thom Yorke, McCoy Tyner, Marcus Miller, Robert Glasper, and Mos Def (Yasiin Bey).
