Honoring the Strength and Resilience of Black Women on Day 2 of the Black History Month Spectacular

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, 825 Arts in Saint Paul will host an inspiring event that recognizes the incredible strength and resilience of Black women. The Black History Month Spectacular, Day 2, will shine a light on the theme of โ€œBreaking Generational Curses,โ€ focusing on how Black women are rewriting their stories and building new legacies.

The day will be filled with powerful conversations, healing, and empowerment, beginning with a heartwarming brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chef Drez and Chef Shamar will provide a delicious meal that highlights the essential foods our bodies need for wellness and healing. Hosted by Lachelle Cunningham, this brunch will serve as the foundation for an afternoon of transformative dialogue.

Empowering Conversations: Breaking the Chains of Generational Curses

From 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., attendees will experience a profound panel discussion led by Alysha Price, a dedicated family mediator, CEO, and community leader who has over 20 years of experience helping families break cycles of dysfunction. With a mission rooted in empathy and resilience, Alysha will facilitate a powerful conversation with panelists Jelahn Prentiss, Tierra House, and Ebony Yarbrough. Together, they will share their personal journeys of overcoming incarceration, breaking generational curses, and reclaiming their futures.

The event will also feature Ebony Yarbrough, whose presence will be felt as she shares her experiences and wisdom on the importance of breaking generational curses and reclaiming oneโ€™s future.
