Performer Expectations:

- Student Talent Show (Ages 18 & Below): Students under 18 are encouraged to showcase their artistic talents in a celebration of culture and creativity. Whether itโs music, dance, spoken word, or another form of expression, the stage is yours!
- Artist Prompts: Performers are invited to address one of four thought-provoking prompts, ensuring that their performances resonate with the spirit of Black History Month. Performers will have the chance to win prizes based on their performance and how well they engage with their chosen prompt.
Artist Prompts:
- African Americans have done many important jobs to help build our country. Pick a job you admire and share how their hard work inspires you.
- If you had a job during a time when Black workers fought for fairness, how would you help? What would you say about working together and standing up for whatโs right?
- Black people have helped shape many jobs. If you could interview a Black worker from the past, who would it be and why?
- Open Mic Session (Ages 18+): After the talent show, adults are invited to join the Open Mic Session to share their artistry and voices. This is a chance to further express creativity and engage with the community.
