Minneapolis, MN โ€” The Twin Cities will once again honor the legacy of legendary hip-hop producer J Dilla with the 10th annual Dilla Day celebration, taking place Friday, May 17 at Ice House, located at 2528 Nicollet Ave in Minneapolis.

This yearโ€™s milestone event features a headlining performance by Detroitโ€™s own Slum Village, the group that helped bring J Dillaโ€™s signature soulful production to the forefront of hip-hop. The night will also include performances by Guilty Simpson, St. Paul Slim, and Jandeltha Rae.

Fans will also have a rare opportunity to meet Ma Dukes, the mother of J Dilla, in an exclusive meet-and-greet session that continues her commitment to preserving her sonโ€™s artistic legacy.

Spinning sounds throughout the night are DJ Francisco and DJ So Supreme, with hosting duties led by community creative Chadwick โ€œNilesโ€ Phillips.

Doors open at 10 p.m., with tickets available for $35 presale and $45 at the door.

Presented in collaboration with a range of local partnersโ€”including Indigenous Roots, The Hook and Ladder, Omega Zulu, and Official Ma Dukesโ€”the event blends music, community, and culture to honor one of the most influential producers in hip-hop history.
