MINNEAPOLIS — Celebrate the arrival of spring with one of Minneapolis Institute of Art’s most beloved traditions. Art in Bloom, presented by the Friends of the Institute, returns for a four-day celebration from April 24–27, 2025, filling Mia’s galleries with color, fragrance, and imagination.
Free and open to all, the annual festival invites visitors to experience over 100 floral interpretations of artworks from Mia’s permanent collection. Created by both individual and commercial florists, these striking arrangements transform classic pieces into blooming, three-dimensional reflections of artistic expression.
Guests can stroll through the museum’s galleries and explore these temporary floral installations, enjoy free guided tours, and participate in family-friendly activities. Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or simply looking for a unique springtime outing, Art in Bloom offers a multisensory journey through the intersections of fine art and floral design.
Museum Hours During Art in Bloom:
- Thursday, April 24: 10 a.m.–9 p.m.
- Friday, April 25: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 26: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Sunday, April 27: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Transportation & Parking:
Construction near Mia may impact traffic and parking. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or ride share.
- Ramp Parking: $25/day
- Surface Lot: $20/day
- Valet: $30 ($5 with disability permit), cash only.
