The Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo returns on Sunday, August 17, to its original home at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast.
Now in its seventh year, the expo has become the Midwest’s premier celebration of beauty, culture, and community. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., with programming from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A theme rooted in pride
This year’s theme, “Crowned & Confidence,” is a call to embrace self-love, authenticity, and heritage. From natural coils to bold style statements, the focus is on the power that comes from knowing your worth and wearing your identity with pride.
“When you know who you are, confidence becomes your crown,” say event organizers. That message will shine through every panel, performance, and connection throughout the day.
What to expect
Attendees will experience a full day of inspiration, education, and connection, including:
- Powerful panels and workshops on self-love, identity, entrepreneurship, finance, wellness, and the beauty industry
- Live hair and barber demos from top stylists and barbers nationwide
- A curated marketplace highlighting Black-owned beauty, fashion, wellness, and lifestyle brands
- Entertainment and networking with live performances, guest appearances, and space to build community
