Step back into the 16th century and experience the magic of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee. Now in its 54th season, the festival invites families to join King Henry and his royal court for a day filled with jousts, performances, shopping, and merriment.
The Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder is giving away Family Packs of 6 tickets to this year’s festival. Tickets are valid on weekends through September 28, plus Labor Day (September 1) and Festival Friday (September 26). Winners will be announced on Friday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. and notified by email. Every entry also includes a subscription to the MSR Today newsletter.
A festival for all ages
With 16 stages of live entertainment, more than 250 artisans in the Festival marketplace, and endless interactive fun, there is something for everyone. New attractions for 2025 include the Wicked Wand Workshop, ARTrageous Adventures crafts, and the Ninja Warrior Challenge.
Themed weekends bring even more excitement:
- Woofstock (Aug. 30–Sept. 1): A pooch party with contests, races, and treats
- Bold North Adventure (Sept. 6–7): Celebrate Minnesota pride with Vikings and daring competitions
- Love for the Arts (Sept. 13–14): A creative showcase of visual, vocal, and performing arts
- Wine, Chocolate & Romance (Sept. 20–21): A weekend to sip, taste, and savor
- Festival Friday (Sept. 26): A full day of music, food, and festive fun
- Oktoberfest (Sept. 27–28): Closing weekend with Bavarian cheer and steins raised high
