A new era of creative collaboration is coming to the Twin Cities. On Thursday, November 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., The Residency will officially open its doors with a grand opening and gallery event featuring artists Angelo Redmond and Henry Makarios . The evening will feature art, music, cocktails, and community at its core.
Created by Modern Day Me (MDM), a Minneapolis-based creative development agency, The Residency is more than a gallery. It’s a multi-purpose production and gathering space designed to connect people through art, design, and experience.
The grand opening will showcase original works by Redmond and Makarios, transforming the venue into a living gallery that celebrates Minneapolis’ visual and cultural energy. Guests can explore interactive installations, meet the artists, and get a first look at what The Residency aims to become — a space where creative expression and collaboration thrive.
Light bites and craft cocktails will be served throughout the evening as a live DJ sets the tone. The event invites art lovers, community members, and culture seekers to celebrate this new addition to Minneapolis’ creative landscape.
