Be The Change MN provides warmth and dignity through Winter Wonderland Kicks and Coats Initiative
Be The Change MN is giving one thousand Minneapolis elementary students brand new coats and shoes this winter, easing financial strain on families and ensuring children stay warm, confident, and supported during Minnesotaโs coldest months.

Minnesota winters hit hard, and for many families the cost of warm clothing can be overwhelming. Be The Change MN is working to ease that burden through its Winter Wonderland: Kicks and Coats Initiative, a program dedicated to making sure Minneapolis students have the essentials they need for the cold months ahead.
This year the initiative will provide one thousand elementary students in Pre K through fifth grade with brand new winter coats and quality shoes. The children represent four underrepresented Minneapolis schools, and for many of them these items are more than seasonal gear. They are comfort, security, and a reminder that their community sees and supports them.
A single winter coat can cost between eighty and one hundred twenty dollars. A dependable pair of shoes often ranges from sixty to one hundred dollars. For families already managing tight budgets, these costs force difficult choices. Your donation helps remove that pressure and ensures every child enters winter prepared, warm, and confident.

Supporting the initiative means supporting dignity. It helps a student feel comfortable at recess, safe on the walk to school, and proud of what they wear. It also gives parents one less financial challenge to carry during an already demanding season.
All contributions are processed securely through Zeffy and directed to The Minneapolis Foundation, the fiscal partner for Be The Change MN. Donors receive an automatic tax deductible receipt by email.
Together we can make sure no child faces winter without the essentials they deserve.
