612 Day 2026: Two Ways to Celebrate Minneapolis This Friday, June 12
612 Day, the annual celebration of Minneapolis culture, community and creativity, falls on a Friday this year with two events to choose from, a ticketed festival at the Cabooze from 3 to 9 p.m. and a free family-friendly Taste of Minneapolis Community Celebration at George Floyd Square from 4 to 8:30 p.m.
Every year on June 12, Minneapolis comes together to celebrate itself. 612 Day, named after the city’s iconic area code and observed on 6/12, is an annual celebration of Minneapolis culture, community, and creativity.
This year it falls on a Friday, and there are multiple ways to get in on the fun.
