No E-ZPass on I-394 and I-94 Through November. Here's What's Changing.

Digital Editor Aaliyah Demry reports on ongoing I-394 and I-94 construction between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis, where E-ZPass lanes will be unavailable in either direction through November starting July 8. The project includes improvements to 34 bridges and ramps, replacement of the Penn Avenue bridge, realignment of the Dunwoody Boulevard ramps, and continued work at the Louisiana Avenue interchange in St. Louis Park.

Orange cones and yellow hard hats are in sight as construction continues on I-394 throughout the summer.

Starting July 8, eastbound traffic along I-394 and I-94 between Hwy 100 and I-94 in downtown Minneapolis will use E-ZPass lanes.

According to officials, since February, westbound travelers had been using the center E-ZPass reversible section.

As construction proceeds, an E-ZPass option will not be available in either direction through November.

Construction consists of improvements to 34 bridges and ramps along I-394 and I-94, including the replacement of the Penn Ave. bridge and the realignment of the Dunwoody Blvd ramps.

In St. Louis Park, the eastbound I-394 E-ZPass lane will continue to be used as a general lane while MnDOT works on improvements at the I-394 on Louisiana Ave. interchange through the fall. E-ZPass Lanes eastbound on I-394 at Louisiana Ave will also be unavailable.
