Battle Creek Waterpark Reopens in Maplewood After $5 Million Renovation

What better way to cool off from this weekโ€™s warm temperatures than a dip in the pool?

Ramsey Countyโ€™s Battle Creek Waterpark is now open to youth and families in Maplewood. 

To celebrate, park admission is free from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 9, following a reopening ceremony. 

A major $5 million renovation and improvement project took place last summer as the 26-year-old waterpark was closed. According to the county, the project enhanced safety, increased accessibility and improved the overall visitor experience.

New Water Park features 

  • Shallow pool with play equipment.
  • Deeper pool for three-story water slide.
  • Shaded and non-water play areas.
  • Playhouses and a grass area.
  • Mural by local artist Philipo Dyauli.

The waterpark’s programming, including Tot Tuesdays and Autism-Friendly Hours, will return for the summer season.
