Minnesota State Fair Hiring 3,000 Workers Ahead of July 22 Job Fair
The Minnesota State Fair is looking to hire about 3,000 employees across departments including ticket sales, parking, barn attendants and custodial work ahead of its 12-day run from August 27 through September 7. A job fair at the North End Event Center on July 22, 4 to 7 p.m., offers on-the-spot interviews for those whose interest and availability align with open positions. No resume is required, and jobs are open to anyone 16 and older.
The Minnesota State Fair is looking to hire about 3,000 employees for the state’s Great Get-Together.
A job fair is being hosted on the fairgrounds for a streamlined hiring process on July 22 at the North End Event Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Applicants will meet with a State Fair representative and if interest, availability, and experience align with an open position, they will be interviewed on the spot.
Employees will work in various departments, such as ticket sellers and takers, parking and Park & Ride attendants, barn attendants, custodians and more during the 12-day run. The 2026 State Fair runs from Thursday, Aug. 27, through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
Applicants interested in fair-time employment can also visit the Employment Center between now and the fair for employment opportunities.
Jobs are open to anyone 16 and older, resumes are not needed and applicants offered a position will be asked to complete a background check.
Shifts range from six to 12 hours a day, and select vendor employment is available at the center as well.
