Free Cancer and Health Screenings Offered at Colors of Cancer Expo
Digital Editor Aaliyah Demry previews the Colors of Cancer, Health & Wellness Expo, hosted by the African American Breast Cancer Alliance and Breast Cancer Education Association in partnership with the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center and the Minnesota Department of Health Sage Program. The July 25 event offers free blood pressure, diabetes, colon and prostate cancer screenings alongside workshops, exhibits and vendor booths, with registration recommended and free parking and refreshments available.
A health and wellness event is offering free cancer and health screenings to people of all backgrounds, hoping to empower community members to take charge of their health.
The African American Breast Cancer Alliance (AABCA) and Breast Cancer Education Association are partnering with the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center and the Minnesota Department of Health Sage Program to invite the community to the Colors of Cancer, Health & Wellness Expo, Our Voices, Our Communities, Our Health event.
The family-friendly event will inform, inspire, and connect people with valuable resources and support.
On-site health screening will include blood pressure and diabetes screenings for men and women. As well as colon, prostate cancer, and health check-ups.
The expo also features a wide variety of fun and educational activities, workshops, exhibits, speakers and vendor booths.
