Uplifting Black Ownership and Community Resilience
The Black Entrepreneur State Fair in South Minneapolis is now a staple celebration of local culture, economic empowerment, and community healing.
What started as an idea during the COVID-19 pandemic is now serving as a yearly South Minneapolis festival that uplifts Black businesses.
The Black Entrepreneur State Fair is returning for its seventh year, with the theme “Rooted & Rising.” The fair was founded in 2020 to help the community grieve following the murder of George Floyd and support Black and small businesses who were left struggling to stay afloat.
The weeklong celebration offers a variety of food and merchandise vendors, live music and family-friendly activities.
