Fine Spirits Classic

Kick off the weekend tonight at Orchestra Hall with Minnesota Monthly’s Fine Spirits Classic. Explore premium pours from local, national, and international distillers, including bold bourbons, complex gins, velvety rums, and handcrafted liqueurs, alongside food available for purchase from local restaurant partners. The event is 21-plus and runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $60.

Old School Crews Grand Finale

On Friday, head to Maria Bonita Restaurant and Bar in Bloomington for the Old School Crews Grand Finale. DJs Sam Soulprano and Cuttin Up Steve keep the old school R&B, funk, and hip hop going from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. This one is strictly 30 and older with a dress code firmly enforced. No sneakers, no tank tops. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Midwest Black Book Fair

On Saturday, celebrate Black authors and stories at the Midwest Black Book Fair, presented by Black Garnet Books at the University of Minnesota Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center in North Minneapolis. Connect with Black authors, readers, and community from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free but tickets are limited.
