Open Streets MPLS is back in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood this Sunday, Sept. 13, for Cedarfest.

Running from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the corridor will be closed to car traffic, turning the streets over to walkers, bikers and rollers for a chance to connect with neighbors and local businesses.

The event lands during Minneapolis’s citywide observance of Welcoming Week (Sept. 10–19), an annual celebration designed to deepen cross-cultural connections and build belonging across diverse immigrant communities.

Attendees can look forward to more than 20 local food vendors, retailers, live performances, and several family-friendly activities.

Metro Transit is offering free ride passes to festivalgoers who complete an online survey before heading out.
