Families affected by police violence from across Minnesota will gather in St. Paul on Saturday, Sept. 12, for the annual March for All Impacted Families.
Organized by Families Supporting Families Against Police Violence, the Twin Cities Coalition for Justice and Communities United Against Police Brutality (CUAPB), the annual event brings together community members and surviving relatives to honor individuals who have lost their lives during encounters with law enforcement, state troopers, sheriff’s departments and correctional facilities.
This year’s march will feature the family of Kohen Wiley, an infant killed during an interaction with the Senatobia Police Department in Mississippi.
Along with the rally, CUAPB is highlighting its Minnesota Stolen Lives project, a community-led documentation system tracking law enforcement-related deaths across the state.
Members of the public are invited to join the march at the St. Paul Police Department at 2 p.m. as it moves toward the State Capitol.
