MSR sports columnist Dr. Mitchell Palmer McDonald interviews Leonard Jones, an educator, administrator, coach, and vocalist in the Twin Cities metro area. As a high school phenom at Minneapolis Patrick Henry High School, Jones started for the basketball team and excelled in track and field.
He led Henry to the Class AA state track and field championship in 1990 and became a track and field all-American at the University of St. Thomas, where he participated in football and basketball. Jones is an administrator at Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, MN, and a member of the Grammy award singing group Sounds of Blackness.
