This year’s trip built on last year’s and expanded the festivities to include: the 5th Annual Sister Spokesman Fashion Show, more live entertainment and dancing, vendors, and games and prizes.
The afternoon began with a few songs by Diane E’laine who sang the “Sister Spokesman” anthem, followed by Darnel Alexander who serenaded the crowd. After the buffet-style luncheon, the 5th Annual Sister Spokesman Fashion Show, hosted by Arnetta Phillips, kicked things off in style, as models of all sizes strutted through the room showing off the colorful handiwork from Val’Dess House of Couture, the Frika CF Collection, and the Amargo Dulce Royal Collection.
The energy of the afternoon kicked up several notches after lunch, as attendees made their way to the top deck to dance to old school and 90’s jams spun by Q-Bear from KMOJ. J. MOST and the Command Steppers with Phyllis “Showtime” Braxton, closed out the evening on a high note with song selections and steppin’ routines that kept the crowd entertained right up until the boat docked.
As the old saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun, and that definitely seemed to be the case on this year’s Legacy Boat Cruise. We are already looking forward to next year’s trip!
