
Freddie L. Jacoway, born in Darnell, AR on April 22, 1919, recently celebrated his 100th birthday with his family and friends at Walker Methodist Health Center.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Buffalo Soldier, left home at an early age and did odd jobs, and loved baseball.
Freddie also worked at Electric Machinery Company for 26 years as a crane operator and retired in 1982. He is a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and sang with the fellowship and gospel chorus.
