If a violent, abusive husband killed his wife the same way Chauvin killed Floyd—putting his knee on his wife’s neck for over nine minutes and someone filmed it, his trial would simply be a formality, him being convicted would be a slam dunk. And if she had drugs in her system, there would be no credibility given to use such a defense, that the drugs somehow caused her death.
So why then is this Chauvin killing Floyd case so up in the air? Why is there all this concern about Chauvin getting a “fair” trial? If a man is filmed murdering his wife is anyone going to be concerned about whether or not he gets a “fair” trial?
