Love was in the air last Saturday, February 3 at NorthPoint Health & Wellness where the theme for Sister Spokesman’s latest event was “Hearts and Harmony.”
The event started with a rousing purse game, led by event founder Tracey Williams-Dillard. After some lunch and another prize drawing, the afternoon’s presenter Alex Merritt (“The Love Engineer”) addressed the journey to self-love and great relationships.
Merritt spoke on how love has to start with yourself, working with attendees to stress how looking within might be the most important step to finding the key to open the door to love.
The important wisdom shared was “Don’t go looking for someone else to make you happy,” as Merritt says, “That’s an INSIDE job!”
The afternoon continued with music curated by Kylee Jackman, Sister Spokesman’s junior coordinator, who always knows how to light up the day. The remainder of the afternoon was full of lively games, lots of prizes, and shopping with the small business vendors we love.
Join Sister Spokesman’s next event “Strong, Brave, and Unbreakable” on March 2, 2024, to celebrate Black Girl Magic for Women’s History Month. The event runs from 12-3 p.m. at LifeSource, 2225 W. River Road N. in Northeast Minneapolis. Visit @SisterSpokesman on Facebook for the latest updates.
