The third week of the 2023 Athletes Unlimited (AU) basketball season marks the halfway mark of the five-week season.

Isabelle Harrison was the first overall pick of Sunday morningโ€™s week three draft.  The 6’3″ forward scored a team-high 29 points in last Saturdayโ€™s Team Harrison (109) two-point overtime victory over Team Sims (107) and tallied 499 leaderboard points in the win along with a team-high nine boards.

Team Harrison and Team Hillmon posted 1-2 records each last week, while Team Sims and Team Smith both finished last week with 2-1 records.

Odyssey Sims still leads the AU leaderboard with 3,042 total points, followed by NaLyssa Smith (2,734), Naz Hillmon (2,675), Kelsey Mitchell (2,581), and Harrison (2,556).

Lexie Hull, sixth on the leaderboard, has posted four double-figure scoring games this season, including a 13-point performance last Saturday.ย  Smith chose the 6’1″ guard first when her turn came up in Sundayโ€™s draft.ย โ€œShe is playing her best basketball,โ€ explained Smith on Hull during Mondayโ€™s weekly media call.

Week two highlights included Mitchellโ€™s double-digit scoring streak now at 16 games, and Jordin Canada hit the seasonโ€™s first buzzer-beater when she swished a half-court shot at the end of the third quarter of her Team Sims game vs. Team Smith last week.

Finally, among those attending week two games included NBA All-Stars Chris Paul and Kevin Durant, two huge womenโ€™s basketball fans.
