Sisterhood. Self-care. Cooperative economics. Purposeful living. Black woman empowerment. These are just a ways to describe the vision and power of Sister Spokesman.
Since 2004, the monthly event series has served as a resource and commerce hub for women in the community. Every first Saturday, Sister Spokesman provides an affirming space for local Black entrepreneurs to find and cultivate a consumer base while offering attendees an opportunity to keep their dollars in the community. Many vendors tested the waters first at Sister Spokesman’s marketplace and have gone on to become established businesses.
Sister Spokesman also offers thoughtful discussion on important topics in the community. With the understanding that knowledge is power, each month we gather panelists to provide attendees with food for thought, and hopefully practice, to help them make informed decisions and empower their life journey.
Leave your cares at home and join us for a festive afternoon of learning, sharing, networking, dancing, shopping, and indulgence!
